Hi I saw the answer you did for that anon and I was curious if you could give me similar interpretations for a Thief of Breath (sorry I just lack the knowledge/creativity and it’s like 5 am) you can DM me too if that’s better, sorry if I’m being a bother thank you

Hiya Wildlyclasspecting, the thief of breaths abilities take my breath away, now that the puns are out of the way here are the abilities:

First tree is one who steals air, this is a literally interpretation and I mean that the thief of breath has the ability to create and control vacuum’s. With knowledge of meteorology you can adapt this into controlling the weather. Since you have stolen it, it means that you have the “air” I will say that interpretation of this is means that the thief is able to compress the air into a ball.
Low tier, this will manifest with the ability to reduce their air pressure in a sphere of your choice that you can see.
Mid tier would be to pull the air out of a point in a sphere, the ability to locally control weather effects.
High tier would be able to control the air pressure on a planetary scale, able to make a perfect vacuum.

The second tree is one who steals freedom, this would manifest in the literal sense being able to hold your opponents, slow them down, paralyze them. However this would eventually manifest in being able to control peoples actions, being able to steal their freedom away from them. This will probably be linked to the personal quest of the thief of breath.
Low tier this would be stunning and slowing down targets.
Mid tier would be being able to stop all movement in a range.
High tier would be bind something or someone to your will, it depends on the willpower of the target.

The combo abilities would be linked to stealing the degrees of freedom of particles with means that you will be able to freeze, targets to absolute zero.

The manifestations and leitmotifs of the this is up to you, ie you can bind the person in chains of air, or vacuum dragons instead of spheres.

What do you think Witch of Heart powers would be like?

Hiya, sorry about the delay life got in the way.

The Witch is someone who manipulates and the Heart is the soul. So you have someone who can manipulate souls … WOW. However this ability is not as broken as one might think, since the witch can only manipulate what is already there.

The first skill tree will involve the extraction and moving of souls, this is an ability that will allow the god tier to remove the souls from one target and place them in another. This is a very strong ability since it will allow you to animate, inanimate objects. You could move the souls of ants to tiny clockwork robots, you could move the soul of someone who is dying to a body that is healthier. The applications of this ability need not be as “evil” as one might think.
Low tier this would be the ability to stun your opponents by temporarily disconnecting their bodies and souls.
Mid tier would be to pull the soul out of the body to take out the opponents.
High tier would be to put those souls into inanimate objects.

The second skill tree will involve changing the make up of a soul, this would be changing the fundamental values of an object that carries immense weight. You can catagorise the souls components into a number of different values for example the seven sins, Pride, Greed, Lust, etc. You would have the ability to change the fundamental values in this. The good that this can do is that you can make people who would never regret their crimes and hatred vanish. But be warned that a large number of these values would be linked and therefore manually changing one without changing the connected ones will result in catastrophic consequences.
Low tier this would be some level of charming, you can convince people to like you more.
Mid tier you can induce people into feeling emotions, happiness, grief, guilt.
High tier changing the very existence of a person.

After that you would get the combo abilities, which would be thinks like Soul expansion, where you change the physical dimensions of your soul which would allow you to encompass an area around you allowing you to manipulate it since it is a part of your soul. There are so many different soul based abilities, I would say as long as it sticks roughly to the manipulation and not creation or destruction etc then it fits.

remember that skill chart you made for a Mage of Void? i dont know how willing you’d be to do this but could you make one for a Seer of Breath? i have like zero clue how to make one and if you can’t then could you give me advice on how to (for a big classpecting project I’m working on) thanks!

Hi Anon,

The way I do all of my charts is to consider every possible interpretation of the Classpect and then consider the level ups of them, then consider the combinations of the powers.
For example the Seer of Breath:
 – Seer = One who invites knowledge of, one who sees, or one who invites knowledge through.
 – Breath = Freedom, independence, or actual air.

The first set of abilities that come to mind are a set of precognition, that the Seer will be able to seek the path that has the greatest freedom, one where there are the most options. They will be able to sense traps, because they know that going down that path will limit their options. Similarly with finding things that can help them, ones that could open up possibilities. A minor extension of this to being able to see the path for the freedom of people. When I say see it depends on the person, for example a visual learner might literally see what is coming, but early on it would be more akin to a gut instinct.

The second set is hyper-sense, being able to use the wind to transmit sound giving them an effective spying tool. The final form of this might be a limited version of Air based Omnipresence.

The third set involves quantum effects, since knowledge of a particles position will cause the wave state to collapse (if you consider the Copenhagen interpretation). This extends to the degrees of freedom that the particle has, this ability has the most direct combat potential as they would be able to use this to maybe conjure lightning or other strange quantum effects? I would personally keep it thematic to air in how it can be used.

These are your three base paths, consider the different stages of these and if they require prerequisites from other paths.

The final stage would be to combine these different abilities together into super cool abilities. If I have missed any cool abilities then feel free to add them.

The Void Aspect and its God Tiers/Classpect Roles

Void is one of the 12 Aspects of Homestuck. Its Opposite is the Aspect Light.

True Canon: “Those bound to the aspect of Void are the universe’s secret-keepers. The unknown doesn’t scare them-where others might see emptiness, they see potential. A blank page, an empty canvas, that’s what the Void-bound live for. They value mystery and the unexplained, and are not particularly bothered by not having all the answers. Where others might be compelled to go out and seek answers, the Void-bound lean more toward casting doubt on what is already considered fully understood. They don’t take much on faith and would rather live in a state of confusion than believe something that might be untrue or bow to intellectual authority. After all, in order for something new to be built, the old, rotting foundation must often be razed. At their best, Void-bound are wise, intuitive, and vibrant. At their worst they can be dismissive, indecisive, and apathetic.”

Dahni Expansion: This makes it so Void can be laissez-faire about other people’s perceptions of it. Not really concerned about “proving” anything to anyone. But also uniquely able to consider situations and events and things vastly different from their own with an open mind. Driven by mystery and secrets, they can mysterious themselves, not really putting a lot of stock into one idea or another, but letting a multitude of possibilities flourish at the same time. Almost making it so you’re never quite sure where exactly they stand, if they’re standing at all.

Symbolically, Void is the blank canvas filled with infinite potential, the deep ocean of dark waters filled with unknowable life, that reaches out to be everything and anything with no rhyme or reason, constantly changing and reinventing itself along the way, wave by wave. it hides in shadows its personal secrets and the idea that maybe it doesn’t have a set reality or an opinion on everything. When I think of Void, I think of the infinite expanse of nothingness that reaches into forever and encapsulates all things. It’s a shadow or a fog of darkness that obscures reality, blurs the truths we may know or assume to be true. It is the changable secrets or mysteries or dreams that swim hidden in the depths of your self as you drift off to sleep. It is going with the flow of the ever changing tide, flowing through the mists of the unknown to anywhere in the universe. Void is the darkness that all things came from, and that all things will eventually return to. To be changed, reshaped, reincarnated for the next life.

They say time heals all wounds.

Sylph of Time, passively creates Time, or passively creates with Time.

The Sylph seems like they would be perfect with the job of the Timeline caretaker. Being healers, they could zip around, healing doomed timelimes. As for healing with time, they could rapidly speed up the healing process with wounds, bones fixing up, cuts closing. It would be a really useful power actually. They could also create more time doubles of themselves to help and have like a healing squadron thing. That’s pretty rad. Say someone dies? Create a time double of them to take their place, all their friends none the wiser… Oh wow that just got kind of dark. So, yeah, to finish it up, Sylph of Time, if healthy could be a wonderful ally, making sure everything is on track. While an unhealthy Sylph of Time could cause some serious havoc.

Oblivion Navigator

sburbian-denizens:

Domain: Tenebrous Transversal

Function: Understanding

Void grants those of the Understanding Classes the ability to find paths to and from the Furthest Ring and navigate it with ease. These Paths can connect Lands, the Dream Moons, the Battlefield, everywhere within those locations, and who knows where else, allowing the Player access to them. They would be able to find more and more of these Paths as they progress, they would also be able to mark the places of these Paths for others to traverse and guide them through the Ring. The Player can only guide willing targets, even if they don’t precisely know where they are going and how they are getting there.

At lower levels the Player can only find the most obvious of these Paths, and they are long and winding, how much depending on how far the destination is. Their maps only work while they are with the ones using it, and would require them to guide the through the Ring, otherwise the ones using it has a chance of getting lost in the Ring, perhaps appearing in a random point in Time and Space.

At higher levels the Player would be able to find most of these Paths, and they are (mostly) quick to traverse, even to the farthest of locales. Their maps would be able to guide others efficiently, would work even while they are away, and have lower chances of getting their users lost.

God Tier Void Players can find every Path within a very large range of them, and most would be fast enough that traversal would be almost instant, and would feel like they never even touched the Furthest Ring. Their maps would work perfectly, and have almost no chance of getting their user lost, unless that is the intent of its creator.

Active – Mages of Void can use their experience with the Paths to find ways to create their own. Though they can’t do so directly, as a Maid of Void would be able to, they would be able to set up the circumstances so that a Path would appear on their own. The higher their level the easier this would be and the more accurate the Paths would be.

Passive –  Seers of Void move like the Horrorterrors themselves while in the Ring, allowing them, and anyone they guide, to move through it at an accelerated rate. They can also drag unwilling targets, or chase or whatever, through the Paths, probably with the intent to get them lost or steer them towards a certain destination.

Can you do an analysis on a Mage of Breath please?

classesandaspects:

spaceytimeywimey:

Mages are specifically known to be particularly intelligent in their area of expertise, (their aspect), but also unfortunately, suffering the negative effects of it.

And what we know about Breath, is that it symbolizes both freedom, and literal air.

Mage is a very tactical class, as I’ve mentioned before. So when talking about the breath aspect, it’s most likely that the Breath aspect is not literal wind, but psychological shtuff. Meaning that they will most likely know everything there is to know about confidence, freedom and would probably use this knowledge the benefit either him/herself, or to inspire those around him/her. This would make the Mage of Breath an excellent leader, as they would always know the correct path, and they would always be aware of the most extreme situations. They would likely know how their opponents move, and when their opponents move, and how much freedom they have to move, thus being able to predict their moves in combat, and being able to command his/her team mates to do the right thing.

Allies would look up to the Mage of Breath, as the fully realized Mage of Breath wont be struggling with his/her confidence, and in turn will understand the middle ground, being realistically confident in his/herself. Now, on to the negative side effects on this full loaded bottle of badassery. Ultimately, the Mage of Breath would suffer from Breath. I imagine that if this is to be taken literally, the Mage of Breath could possibly have asthma, and panic attacks. Perhaps struggle with stress related problems. The Mage of Breath would start out being trapped, at a lack of any freedom whatsoever, whether this literally be lack of freedom to speak to friends, or a psychological lack of freedom from self, which is a bit more complicated. They would also possibly struggle with their own self confidence, being either overly confident in him/herself and others, or not confident at all in him/herself or others. Either way, the Mage of Breath would need to overcome this obstacle, and would be a great asset to the team afterwards.

Time Aspect – Concepts

I had my friend take the classpect quiz, and after all of the back and forth he eventually got Page of Time. He turned to me and said:
“Cool, I guess I can time travel.”

That got me thinking about what Time players can potentially do, like with all aspects I think our current analysis is very narrow.

For example I personally would have never thought to include decisions on a cosmic level as a part of the Mind aspect but Terezi proved me wrong.

Therefore I thought about what time players can potentially do.

Obviously time travel and all of the fundamental abilities that come with that, being able to out number an enemy by yourself. Then there are other time abilities related to Dilation, Slowing down and Speeding up time like Itchy and Doze from the Felt, but then you take that to the extreme and you get Time Stopping (Homura Akemi) and Rapid ageing and decay (Barragan Louisenbairn).

Then consider the stranger time abilities like Erasure (King Crimson) and Time Looping (Izanami). This is not considering the possibilities of paradox based abilities and attacks, the manipulation and communication between timelines and the possibility of theoretical ideas such as knotted topology of time.

But even all of those abilities fail to capture the idea of time as a fundamental concept. In my opinion the idea of time is rooted in cause and effect, therefore I think that another set of abilities could come from the idea of changing cause and effect. An effect with no cause would be complete negation of an actions ability to impact the timeline. A cause with no effect can be seen on the quantum level with virtual particles, this can open possibilities to time players to warp reality for a temporary amount of time.

These are just my thoughts on the time aspect and the possibilities that can arise from it that go beyond basic time travelling.

Classpect Thoughts

Whenever I am discussing classpect, I always try to reduce my number of assumptions about what a certain class or aspect can do.

The reason is Terezi, her Classpect is the Seer of Mind, if we had no canon evidence or powers then mine and many peoples interpretation would only be able to read minds and maybe see someones thoughts.

Yet, this is not the case, her powers are far more extensive than that, as they govern over decisions and outcomes. But if I am honest, this is something I would have never thought of if I were to do analysis.

So whenever I think, “Is this really apart of my classpect?” I think to the non-God Tier seer and remind myself not to limit the abilities based on basic assumptions.
