Here is the skill tree for the Heir of Space. I have based the tree on treating space and its manipulations, like mathematical functions. Which I feel reflects the Heir, that they have all of this power but they need the understanding or else bad things will happen.

Land of Iron and Rain

sburb-land-analysis:

I made my own land and I was wondering if I could have your thoughts on it?

https://raxaon.tumblr.com/post/155961492787/land-of-iron-and-rain

-I HAVE A FEELING I READ THIS BEFORE AND ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS THAT THE LAND IDEA IS REALLY CREATIVE OMG

-the quest is pretty unique,i love the idea of stopping the rain to prevent the secrets and information engraved in the iron rust away

possible suggestions??? (idk man this land is pretty much awesome by now but heres some small input)

-you could make it a bit foggy, especially during the moments where it stops raining, since the water vapours rise and fall and such.this could make the illusion of starts from the light rays look more mesmerizing

-since the temple is of molten iron, make the mage have to find a hidden way to enter the denizen’s lair, possibly guided by one of the carved secrets? ;0

fun stuff: before the inevitable rusting of everything the mage would be attracted (metal puns hah) to the places where a secret is engraved in iron right before water starts to rust it

Those are some really great ideas, the fog I had not considered. Maybe the way into the core temple is through a secret entrance under an altar or something. Also I am not sure about consorts or about the personality of my denizen.

hmmmm

emerald colored snakes could be nice for consorts
coiling around the iron bars and pillars
another idea could be monkeys,if you want to break the unspoken rule of having amphibian/reptilian consorts of course 😉

as for a good denizen,i suggest

cetus, but instead of eating all of the sea life, they eat away the iron (and secrets written on it) via constant raining

The Mages Journey

Here is my interpretation on what the Mages Quest might be, please note that this is different from the planet quests.

The Mage I always found to be a completely underrated class, because of their quest. They will always see themselves as weaker and their natural instinct is to reject themselves and to invert.

For example the Mage of Hope will doubt themselves and their abilities inherently trying to invert to the Heir of Rage. The Mage of Void will feel that they are worthless and need to shine more, trying to invert to the Heir of Light.

However they must realise their own strength and become at peace with themselves.

May I ask for your thoughts for a Mage of Hope?

The Mage of Hope is an interesting one, I can see at least two starting branches on this: Understanding of Hope and Experiencing Hope.

The Understanding of Hope is fairly easy to explain at a low level you can meditate and view what your opponents Hopes and dreams are. Similar to how the Mage of Void can view the opponents secrets, you can see what drives them and how. But this is not all that this does, Paradox Space is built out of a mixture of all 12 aspects. Therefore it is fair to say that Hope is a Fundamental force; if you have ever read the Discworld series they also have Hope as a fundamental force with its own particle. To quote Jake believing in something makes it a little less fake, you would be able to see what is believed in by simply meditating. The information gained from this ability would be invaluable in planning and strategising.

The final part of this links in with the second half of the Mage but it is a necessary part of your powers. Hope is one of the most powerful aspects since it is so ungodly open ended, however it comes with the cost that you must have utter faith in your target in order to utilise it to it’s maximum. This is beyond a sheer meditation (which is mental) and you must rid yourself of all doubts and have utter conviction (which is spiritual). Therefore the final ability is spiritual meditation that can rid yourself of all doubt, which for a Hope player is a massive ability.

The second half is experiencing Hope, roughly speaking this can utilise Hope to do incredible things. For example, if someone is in trouble but they believe that help is on the way, you can use this combined with your meditation to be there. Similar if someone believed in your strength, then by understanding their beliefs and accepting them within yourself, you could gain power. But the final level of this ability uses the spiritual meditation, since you would believe in yourself so much you would be able to will yourself to do incredible feats. The more incredible the feat the stronger your conviction has to be. For example, if you willed yourself to believe that you were 5 feet to the left, then you would move 5 feet to the left. If it was 5 lightyears then that requires a stronger conviction because you would doubt yourself more about such a feat.

Overall the Mage of Hope is a very balanced fighter having a perfect blend of offence, defence and support. It has a massive potential power that other mages cannot utilise since willpower and meditation do have influence on the aspect by the nature of the aspect.

Well i was thinking sylph of heart cause thats what i am

The Sylph of Heart is an incredible Classpect, because it combines elements of multiple different aspects together.

My personal interpretation of the Sylph of Heart is one who Heals/Restores with and using Souls, and one who Creates Spirits and Consciousness.

The most obvious interpretation of this claspect is one who heals Souls, if someone has gone through immense trauma then their soul will be damaged. It has a large overlap with the Sylph of Mind in this way. However this can be used offensively to stun your opponents, if you are facing a relentless killer you could heal their soul and their feelings and attitudes would revert back to the time before they would have killed. An example would be Voldemort from Harry Potter, you could reforge his soul from his Horcruxes, leaving him as weak as before he started his quest.

The next step would be one who heals with Souls, if I were to do a skill tree of this aspect then two of the skills would be a Heal beam, wherein you use your own Souls energy to Heal the injuries of your targets. This would be one of the lower rungs on the tree. A more advanced version would be a spell that would may cast upon yourself or your target, wherein their own souls energy would constantly heal them, giving them a temporary healing factor, the strength of this ability would depend on your level, it may wash away their aches and pains or give them a healing factor that could rival wolverines. Notice that there is also restore, you may heal and restore a target to a previous state, or into a warped state, you can “heal” your opponents muscles such that they never had any damage (including the damage that is necessary for muscle growth). People never consider the offensive capabilities of healing and what messing around with your opponents body might entail.

Finally what I consider one of the greatest strengths of the Sylph of Heart, Soul creation. You create a soul and personality and you may insert it into an object or person. This is such an ungodly open ended ability that I am honestly quite envious. You can breath life into inanimate objects and have them move and do your bidding, you can create an army, you can create companions. Should you find the dream bubbles with your friends spirits, you can insert them into their old bodies. Think of this on a whole scale, you could give a soul to an entire planet and have all of the life on it have souls and soul energy. You could also create them as incorporeal spirits and have them work for you.

Overall this is a supporting role in the truest sense of the word, in that you can create armies, heal allies both physically and spiritually, bring consciousness to things that were not there. But it is not without it’s offensive capabilities that could rival an assassin in how precise it can target. It is a fantastic Classpect.

So if a mage of void obscures the known/knows the obscure what about the other classpects

It depends on the classpect, and I can only give my interpretation of what they mean.

Lets consider Aspects first, some of them are very literal like Time and Space because there is a lot of variation within those particular aspects. For example Space represents physics, genesis and creation.

Light I always saw representative of the possibility space and information, whether it is reducing the number of possibilities of your opponents victory or the illumination about information.

Void is the antithesis of Light, where  it deals with the unknown and nothingness. I see many people include the Horrorterror’s as a part of void, which I disagree with. They have based that on the assumption that Rose inverts to the Witch of Void, forgetting the fact that she inverted because she was talking to the Horrorterror’s before going grimdark.

These four make up what I describe as the physical parts of the aspect system. With Space and Time representing the fabric of reality and Light and Void representing it at a Quantum level.

One of the key things to note about the aspects is that there are abilities that are shared between them since they are all interconnected. For example, Rose was able to see the path to the best possible outcome an ability that closely resembles a time player, or when Roxy was able to spontaneously generate matter by removing the non-existence of the item, which is an ability that closely resembles what we predict the Maid of Space could do. However both of these abilities have very different underlying causes and mechanisms.

The final thing to note is that the powers and abilities are not the same from classpect to classpect. For example, I have interpreted the Mage of Void as one who Obscures the Known and Knows the Obscure which is one subset of the Void abilities because they are the ones that suit me as a person. At the same time another equally valid interpretation is one who Experiences the Unknown and Understands the Nothingness.

Since there are 168 different Classpect combinations I can’t answer them all in this one post. If you would like to know about a particular one then please feel free to message me.

As many of you know, I am the Mage of Void and I have done the usual analysis of the classpect that everyone and their mother has done. But today I wanted to do something different. I have created a skill tree and what abilities will be unlocked as the MoV powers develop.

(Note: both the arrows and the daggers indicate the prerequisites for various abilities)

Land of Iron and Rain

This is one of the possible lands for the Mage of Void.

The Land of Iron and Rain is a very large planet, the entire world is a large spiderweb structure of steel girders and pillars. The rain that falls rusts the surface and slowly makes it’s way down to the core, over time the land will crumble away. The clouds of steam and vapour rise out of the chasms at each of the poles and small vents across the surface.

However this land is beautiful, with large lakes of a greenish hue to the large rust red forests, and when there is break in the rain the dazzling gleam of the light off of the lower structures gives the appearance of stars inside the planet. Underneath the surface the cathedrals of iron and the cities of steel form much of the civilisation of this planet. The core is a temple of molten iron, wherein the Denizen resides, the entrance is inaccessible due to the boiling steam that surrounds the place.

The quest of this land is to stop the rain and make the planet shine once more; there is a perpetual cycle where the rain drips down to the molten core of the planet evaporates and rises out once again. Throughout the planet are scripts and runes engraved onto the pillars, they contain information and secrets about the planet, the session and the game as a whole. The information is slowly being lost to the rusting, you must learn the secrets, stop the rain and make the planet shine.

One Way the Mage of Void Suffers Her Aspect

goodgodtier:

As you all know I’ve been on hiatus for a long while, mostly because I got bored of what I was doing as a tumblr user and Classpect theorist. So I’m extremely out of practice in both the way I write and as a theorist.

Recently, however, I’ve come to understand my class (and title as a whole) in a different way that I want to share in case it isn’t obvious to everyone still interested in understanding Classpect: Mages do not just guide the flow of their aspect, but they also use their aspect to *unselfishly guide themselves just how a Seer guides others. I’m not saying I’m the first to realize this. In fact I know I’m not. (I may have already pointed this out in a previous Mage analysis post?? I dunno, it’s been a while.)

Of course, Mages are almost always guaranteed to be especially tortured by their aspect in one way or another so they can grow from it and learn to control their aspect for themselves, but Mages may start out oblivious to this even if they think they know it. Especially a Mage of Void. Furthermore, I believe that a Mage who is on the right track realizes that they are on their own as far as learning from their aspect as it hurts them, and even so, Void is an aspect which often inspires a deep sense of loneliness in those who bear it in their God Tier’s name.

In high school I was plagued by nervousness fueled by anxiety, and I was lonely even when I was around people I loved. I was extremely depressed. I cried almost every day and I’m not afraid to admit it. Because of my slight placement on the autistic spectrum, I was unable to read social cues and I was a nuisance to those around me when I felt like I was the victim. At age 13 I knew I was more mature than even the seniors, but I was wrong. That type of thinking continued for a few years afterwards despite the fact I was actually extremely immature. And for the longest time, I denied all of these things by pushing them away. There’s a lot more I could say in this paragraph centered around high school and connections to being a Mage of Void but because of that fact, I’m going to end it here.

As an inverted Mage of Void, I thought I was wise like a true Heir of Light. I tried to never let myself go unnoticed on days when the scales tipped in favor to inversion, but I was still ignored by the kids I wanted to hang out with because I couldn’t appreciate what true friends I had. I couldn’t realize soon enough that a lot of my suffering was, in fact, my fault. If you’re a person who knew me personally as I was going through all this, I’m sorry. If I shut you out, it was because I needed to take a couple steps back so I could move forward.

This Mage started out incredibly lonely, and was so, so lonely even when she wasn’t alone. It took me a while to realize this. Again, I didn’t realize many things about myself until I was much older. That’s how I suffered Void: by being **entirely oblivious to what I was suffering and living in denial about it, and how I was making others suffer my “invisible” illnesses without knowing it. I hated harsh truths. But luckily, this Mage pulled through. This Mage now knows how to ignore the right things and control her ego which was once so out of control. And beyond that, I’m still healing and getting the right help. I can’t wait for the rest of 2017.

In retrospect, this whole post feels kind of silly; comparing my real life struggles to a made up system of personality types. And I think that’s another albeit smaller reason why I stopped posting theories to tumblr. But I also think it’ll help someone.

So until next time, that’s just a theory. A Classpect theory. Thanks for reading.
